Mission
To provide easy access to the best children's books, and inspire parents to read aloud with children for future success in school and life.
Company Description
Bring Me A Book® Foundation (BMABF) is an award winning early-literacy social enterprise committed to inspiring and encouraging parent and teacher involvement in reading aloud to young children. BMABF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides libraries of multicultural, high quality children’s books in multiple languages, parent, caregiver and teacher educational tools and community outreach programs.
Children are entering school lacking basic pre-literacy skills and are unprepared to learn. Most will never catch up unless more is done to address these unfortunate disparities.
BMABF Serves the Underserved: The Bring Me A Book® Foundation was founded to serve these children who do not have access to quality books and who are not read aloud to on a regular basis. We serve over 181,000 children and families in 275 sites. We serve low income children and families in preschools, childcare centers, and health clinics, homeless children and families in shelters, and English Language Learners in businesses. We serve the neediest children and families in our community.

Company Highlights
Bring Me A Book Programs: BMABF currently offers 3 turn-key, innovative, sustainable programs that are easily replicated on a large scale.
The Bookcase Library Program
The Bookcase Library Program places maple bookcases filled with 30-40 quality, age-appropriate and culturally diverse children's books in multiple languages into community organizations including: pre-schools, classrooms, childcare centers, shelters and waiting rooms. Funded by donors, foundations, community organizations and businesses, the bookcase libraries are affordable ($600-$700) and include a plaque and bookplates identifying the donor or funding organization, thereby providing inexpensive but highly visible naming opportunities.
The Book Bag Library Program
Bring Me A Book® Foundation provides businesses with an easy to install and maintain yet highly effective Book Bag Library in the Workplace. The program benefits all employees with families as well as individuals who are English language learners. By bringing this resource into the workplace, the employer is providing an easily accessible selection of quality hardcover children's books and audio recordings that enhance reading skills and language acquisition.
The First Teachers Program
The First Teachers Program enhances both BMABF Library programs by engaging and educating parents and teachers on the critical importance of reading aloud and read aloud strategies.
